If you are looking for low-cost Ventura County divorce services, you have come to the right place. A People’s Choice offers Ventura County divorce services as an alternative to other self-help options available in the county or online. We have served the Ventura community for over 30 years and offer several convenient options to get your divorce paperwork started.

Our office is a Registered Legal Document Assistant in Ventura County. We are NOT a divorce paralegal office. California law does not allow divorce paralegals to provide divorce services directly to consumers. A divorce paralegal can only work for a divorce attorney and cannot be hired directly by a consumer looking for legal document preparation help. As a legal document assistant, however, our office can prepare your divorce paperwork without the need to hire a lawyer.
Filing divorce in every county is different. Although California has a uniform court system, each county court has established their own local rules and procedures. There are California Rules of Court which govern all California courts and then there are local rules and procedures which each County court establishes and which only pertain to matters filed in their court. For example, Chapter 9 of the Ventura County Local Rules specifically address issues pertaining to all family law and divorce cases filed in Ventura County. Chapter 5 of the Los Angeles County Local Rules sets forth the rules and procedures for family law and divorce cases filed in Los Angles County. Because of this, the Ventura County local rules and procedures for filing a divorce in Ventura County is uniquely different from filing the same case in Los Angeles County. Having been in business in Ventura County and filed papers with the Ventura Courts for over 30 years offering Ventura County divorce services, A People’s Choice has unparalleled experience in dealing with the local rules of the Ventura County court system. As a consumer, you can be confident that your Ventura County divorce services will not be delayed because documents were processed incorrectly or not in conformance with these rules and procedures.
All of our divorce document preparation services offered in Ventura County are on a flat fee basis. This means that when you retain our office to assist you with your Ventura County divorce proceedings, you will pay one set fee that will enable our office to take care of your entire divorce case from beginning to end. Fees are based on the complexity and amount of issues to be resolved in your case. Our flat fees always include:

    1. Preparation of all divorce documents
    2. Filing of all divorce documents
    3. Unlimited communication with our office throughout proceeding
    4. Assistance with service of process
    5. Legal divorce help guide
    6. Scheduling any necessary court mediation
We encourage customers to shop around and compare our prices with other Ventura county divorce services because we are confident you will not find lower fees anywhere in the area.
We offer several different options to obtain the needed information for your paperwork. You can come into our office and sign documents that day to start your case and we also offer an online option for busy people who just can’t take time off work. As a courtesy to clients, we also have a service that files our legal documents with the Ventura Court on a daily basis. This assures you that your divorce paperwork will be filed as expeditiously as possible.
